The course introduces candidates to all the information relevant to the certification exams, including study material and required administrative steps. It features multiple exercises and quizzes aimed at building the skills and knowledge necessary for the exam.

Each participant receives a comprehensive set of course notes for each module. The course material also serves as a prerequisite for several other AACE certifications, including Certified Estimating Professional (CEP), Certified Forensic Claims Consultant (CFCC), Earned Value Professional (EVP), Project Risk Management Professional (PRMP), Certified Scheduling Technician (CST), and Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP).

PREREQUISITES:

Course participants are required to have the following three publications from the AACE International:

  • Skills & Knowledge of Cost Engineering, 6th Edition
  • CCP Certification Study Guide, 2nd Edition
  • Total cost management (TCM) Framework 2nd Edition

The cost of these materials and AACE membership is not included in the course fee.

COURSE FORMAT

The course is delivered online over 10 modules, spanning ten weeks. This is a self-paced course with structured elements to guide your learning. Participants are assigned a course mentor who is available for guidance throughout the course. Each module includes quizzes to reinforce your learning, and two key assignments are required to pass the course: the first assignment is released at the start of week 5, and the second at the end of week 10. While you can work through the material at your convenience, the assignments must be submitted within the course timeline. This structure provides flexibility while ensuring you stay on track with your learning objectives.

A 4-hour mock exam with typical CCP or CCT questions is available upon completion of the course. Participants can receive either a Certificate of Attendance or a Certificate of Competence upon successful completion.

  • Certificate of Attendance: Awarded if all quizzes are completed and both assignments are submitted with all questions answered.
  • Certificate of Competence: Awarded if all quizzes are completed and a score of 50% or higher is achieved on both assignments.
